Reason for separation: They lost contact after S. moved with her husband to Germany where they were posted with the RAF. B. last saw S. in 1975 and wanted to get back in touch as they were very good friends. She contacted Gill Whitley in June 2001 and Gill was able to trace Sally through 192.com. They have been reunited and all is now well.

Reason for separation: Her son and his wife divorced when K. was around 5 or 6 years old. He was born in mid 1966 and when his parents divorced his father chose not to see his son again but did pay maintenance. After 30 odd years his grandmother was desperate to make contact again and wrote to Gill Whitley for help. With the aid of 192.com her grandson was locate early in 2000 and all is well.

Reason for separation: Adoption. While B. was able to locate his adoption Papers, tracing his mother was fruitless. Gill Whitley was successful, but his mother had died. He did locate 6 half-brothers and 1 half-sister though and contact was Made over the telephone.

Reason for separation: He didn't realise he had a brother until 1974. He was 19 and His brother was 32. He lost touch with him about 17 years ago in 1984 and he was very keen to get back in touch. C. was found through 192.com in March/April 2001 and all is now well.

Reason for separation: They were posted to different areas, and never met again after 1949. Mr. Richards is membership secretary of the Kirkham Ex-Boys and Armourers Association and had been trying to locate his friend to join his association of which there were nine members. They last saw each other in 1950. The Association has a reunion every year attended by about 125 members and their wives. He was very keen to get back in touch with T. so that they could invite him to the reunion. T. was found through 192.com and all is well.

Reason for separation: Passing of time and family changes of address, as well as the loss of his address book in 1997 led to them losing contact. He was even unable to contact her when her husband died of cancer and as such is very desperate to get back in touch as he was very fond of her and lost his first wife to cancer so knew how she must have felt. His own efforts to trace her had proved fruitless but with Gill's help and the use of the 192.com, J. was found and all is well.

Reason for separation: They were friends in the army at Catterick during National Service in 1952 and 1953. They went their separate ways. K. had Made a number of attempts to locate his friend but had had no success. He then contacted Gill and through the help of 192.com, his friend was found almost 50 years later in 2000.

Reason for separation; Left school to go to university. As J.'s health was deteriorating it became very important to him to try to find his old friend. He was like an older brother to J. at a very difficult time in his life. At the time of writing to Gill his friend would have been around 55 or 56. Gill found him through 192.com and the friends are back in touch.
