Association of Holistic and Complementary Practitioners (AHCP) and the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC). I adhere to the AHCP ethical framework for good practice, and also the ACTO Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Integrative counselling approach fits my own philosophy as it has at its very core, an unshakable belief that all people are individually unique and different, and therefore we all experiences and interpret our circumstances in our own unique ways. Because of our inherent differences, we may have differing psychological needs and/or problems that we experience from time to time and at various stages of our lives, and therefore may require a variety of relevant and evidence-based interventions that are tailored to our individual needs. Therefore, my therapy practice draws upon theories and interventions from person-centered, cognitive- behavioural and psychodynamic approaches in order to support you as you define and explore your current psychological and mental health problems.
Support may involve discussing and exploring any negative feelings that you may be struggling with, thoughts you may have, as well as any corresponding behaviours that may very well maintain your current state of unhappiness or distress. Show less
