Overview
I took up photography as a hobby in the 1980s, and have stuck with it ever since. In that time, I've covered a wide variety of subjects from people to landscapes to motorsport, all of which I love, not to mention the odd bird or two on my wife's birdwatching trips.
A few years ago, I decided it was time to take it up a notch or two further, a decision that was partially influenced by an eleventh hour call from the groom at a family wedding, for me to cover the ceremony.

photographer who should have been there (I'll spare him his embarrassment and otherwise-unblemished reputation) was delayed in the rush hour traffic. When he arrived, he offered to let me shadow him at another wedding, which I did.
From that moment on, I knew I had to do more, so in 2009 I took the plunge with my first full wedding.
I've loved covering weddings and other functions ever since. For me, there is no thrill quite like being behind a camera, observing and capturing everything.
I love the interaction with people, especially when - thanks to modern digital technology - I can show them a picture seconds after taking it. Show less
