We purchased an extended warranty for our Baumatic Dishwasher.
The warranty costed nearly £200 in monthly installments.
The person who booked our repair made 3 errors in our log: in our surname, house number and the type of appliance. Therefore their engineer attend to a different house to repair... Read more other people's oven. The engineer did not bother to phone us despite the fact that had a correct number on the system (as we have received a booking confirmation previously).
Over 1h on the phone to have it sorted...Do not bother to get an extended warranty. It is your money and time waste. Cheaper and easier to get a DIFFERENT BRAND appliance. Show less
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in 23 years of owning appliances.
I have bought a Baumatic BDW1460 Dishwasher for £420.00 on 05/05/15 from Curry's which came with two years warranty. The first thing I noticed was that the dishwasher tablet/washing powder dispenser did not open.... Read more Apparently the lid gets stuck on the rack of the dishwasher and this is a manufacturing fault. An engineer who came when I requested one explained this to me. The other thing was that the button for "1/2" program did not work. I was told that was ok, that it only worked on some machines but that it would detect automatically how full the machine was and adjust the level of water accordingly.... So you have a button for that but you can't press it because it doesn't work.
One year and one month after I acquired it, it broke down as the heater element stopped working. A new heater element had to be ordered all the way from Italy This company had no such part in their stock. We had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive. On the day it was meant to be fitted the "engineer" left the dishwasher beeping madly and when asked if he could sort it he said he didn't know how to and when asked if he was going to test the machine he said he didn't have the time and left. The machine is not working as no button works. We have to switch it off to stop the pinging sound and the flashing "Glass" picture program.
The cherry on the cake was when they said there was no one available to come back (at 4pm on a Friday) as they all had finished. And they booked the same engineer to come back another day... needless to say that after spending hours on the phone (and more money down the drain) I finally made them allocate a different engineer. Apparently they have 28 days during which my family and I have to suffer their lack of ethics and appalling standards. Please avoid at all costs - check which company owns the appliance and if it is hoover, AVOID. Show less
I ordered, and PAID FOR, replacement oven shelves inf February2016. I am still waiting. I have called at least 6 times (twice monthly) and received the same fob off reply even tho their computers recognise the order and note items in warehouse. I am launching CCJ proceedings.
