Why do I need credits?
As a leading online people and business finder service we offer our users the opportunity to search the best residential and business databases available. Approximately a third of 192.com's databases are free to search, the remainder are classified as Premium Information. To view premium records, you will need to register and purchase credits.
What is Premium Information?
Premium information is more detailed and comprehensive residential and business data that is not readily available elsewhere. We make it accessible online for both consumer and business users, and incorporate our unique proprietary search technology to allow users to search by name only or by using a range of sophisticated search facilities.

How do credits work?
Credits are the currency of 192.com and allow users to search Premium Information. Credits start from as little as 23p. They can be bought by selecting one of our credit packages. Some premium databases only cost 1 credit per search such as the 2008 Electoral Roll, some searches such as those for company and director reports use up 5 or 6 credits per search. All credit packages are valid for six months. Each search deducts the relevant number of credits from a user's account.
Extended Archive Membership
While credits are the currency of 192.com, in order to be able to use your credits to search Electoral Roll information from 2002 - 2007 you will also need to purchase an annual extended archive membership that gives you access to this data but does not include credits. This is a one-off annual payment of £149.99. You will still need to purchase credits to do a search.

How do I get credits?
Register...select credit package...enter payment details...confirm e-mail
To get credits on 192.com you will need to register, this requires you to enter your name and e-mail address. Then you will need to select a credit package and enter your credit card details. You will be sent a confirmation e-mail with a code. In order to activate your account and begin using your credits you will need to enter this code to confirm your e-mail.
How do I know how many credits I have left or used?
As a registered user all you have to do is sign in, using your e-mail address and password and go to Your Account. This details all the credits you have used and how many you still have left. You can also buy more credits or change your e-mail or payment details.
