John organised a reunion using 192.com
I spent 20 years working on a cruise ship and with the aid of 192.com I traced a number of old pals. As a result of my efforts, I have traced many people in different parts of the U.K. and Ireland. I have found them in Southampton, Bournemouth, Benfleet, Southend, Winchester, Luton, Bracknell, Edinburgh, Bangor in Northern Ireland and Kilpedder, southern Ireland, to name but a few.
Roy traced his father and found a brother
I had not seen my father since 1976 and upon returning to England in 2002 I decided to try and find him but after to writing to his solicitor I found out he was not interested in talking to me. I came across your website and did a search for my father and got every Roy Hill in the UK. I decided to print off the and put in somewhere in my files. Six years later and I found out that my father had been diagnosed with cancer and that it had got to the stage where he only had a few weeks to live. I sent one last letter to the solicitor and on this occasion he replied directly to me. Using the post code on the envelope I cross referenced the post code with my list and there he was. We met and there was no happy ending but I did find out I had a brother and two uncles.
Francesca found a sister she never knew about
I had been searching for my father for most of my life, since my Mother died in 1990. So, in August 2006 I decided to start searching for him using 192.com. Sadly, I found his death certificate from December 2002 on the site. I contacted the where he died and asked for his records. They told me that the only relative was his daughter in Trinidad (shocked was an understatement!!) and she said she would call for me. She called back and told me she had spoken to my sister in Trinidad and she would be calling me straight away, and she did, her words were ' Francesca I have been searching for you for 20years' and she cried. It was also Independence Day in Trinidad that day, I could not believe what I was hearing! I am so grateful to 192.com because when someone asks me where I came from, I can tell them.
Wendy and her brother tracked down 14 family members
In 2002 myself and my brother decided to come over from Australia to live in the UK and he decided to trace our fathers side of the family. Armed with the family surname of Garstone and the location of Hastings, we went onto 192.com and did a search. The site returned a number of results for the name and area. We then called each of these people and finally managed to track down 14 family members including my half sister who is now like a best friend to me.

Geoffrey Blackwell discovered a half brother
While researching my family history I discovered that I had a half brother I didn't know I had; quite a surprise! I discovered that he had married and had a daughter but he died at the age of 40 years. I found that his daughters name was Rosemary. I found a record of Rosemary's marriage in 1955 in the district of Surrey NW and from this, using 192.com I was able to find her current address. So, after 60 years I and my only niece have been happily reunited.
Howard helped a man find his brother after 60 years
I am retired and spend a few hours each week in a genealogy chatroom helping people find their family roots. Earlier this year a chap came on from Australia looking for his birth family. He was adopted as a newborn baby and did not find out until his daughter applied for travel documents and needed a copy of his birth certificate!! His adoptive parents had emigrated to Australia but had kept in contact with his "birth" mother over the years. Using his name and the area of Corby I used 192.com, I to give him the name and number of a brother in Corby enabling him to speak with his birth mother after more than 60 years.
Margaret found her sister after two decades
I had a wonderful experience looking for lost relatives. I found my sister after more than 20 years and was over the moon to meet up with her again. Thanks to 192.com I had the opportunity to take my sister to Spain to meet up with our brother for the first time in 20 years.
David found his mother
In 1945 myself and my brother were taken away from our mother and placed in foster homes. My father re-married in 1951 and we both went to live with him. But we had no idea where our real mother was or what had happened to her. My wife had been tracing our family tree and discovered that mother had remarried in 1949 and had a daughter in 1950. We logged onto 192.com and found her on the Electoral roll. She was 87. We went there that very day and eventually knocked on the door and when we went in she asked what it was about and when I explained who I was she was amazed.
Carol found her friend
I found my friend after 15 years. I got the address from the site and wrote her a letter. We are now in regular contact. I would never have found her without 192.com.
Carol found her family
I was adopted in 1948 at just three weeks old. My husband was doing his family tree about four years ago and started looking for my birth family. Using her name we eventually came up with a phone number on 192.com. This turned out to be my cousin and she told me about two half sisters, a stepbrother and a step sister as well as my birth mother. She is now 97 years old!
Tim discovered a second cousin that I did not know existed
I found my second cousin using the census on 192.com. I was able to identify the son's wedding and the names of his children and armed with this information I managed to track down and contact my 'new' second cousin.
Salma found her mother
I used 192.com to track down my mother. I typed in her name and only one result came back in the right area. I wrote a letter and two days later she appeared on my doorstep. If it wasn't for 192.com I would still be looking.
George found his favourite cousin
Having returned to the UK from Australia I used 192.com to find my favourite cousin, Tom Swanney. By checking the 1994 census on the website I tracked him down in Bridlington. I am overcome with the joy of finding him after some 42 years!
Debbie helped reunited her boyfriend with an old friend
My boyfriend used to be in a rock band in the 80's with his best mate John He spoke about John quite a bit and so I thought I would try and trace him and reunite them at my boyfriend's next gig. I searched for John on 192.com and got two responses so I called both of them. On the second try I found I was speaking to John. I asked John to come to the next gig and he agreed. At the gig I took my boyfriend to the bar and said 'I have got someone I would like you to meet!' Dave was totally bewildered and excited. Thanks to 192.com they were back together again after 18 years.
Peter found two relatives
I have found two cousins sons living in Birmingham not a stones throw where I used to live and we. We meet up 2 or 3 times a year now.
Mike tracked down an old girlfriend
A couple of years ago, whilst feeling bored I decided to try and find some of my old school mates and girlfriends. With some detective work using 192.com I found an old girlfriend that still lives in the same village as when I knew her. I got her number and I was really great to talk to her again.
Judy helped her husband find his brother
My husband lost contact with his only brother 47 years ago over a family dispute. When I got my computer in March of this year I started searching for him on the internet and was lucky enough to find him through 192.com. I wrote to him and he replied and after all that time we were all reunited. He has come to our home and we are in regular contact now.
Lesley found living relatives
Whilst I was researching my grandad's family I discovered, quite by chance, that my father's sisters were still alive. One was living in USA, now aged 90, and two still living in the area in which I live, one aged 80 and one aged 82. Through 192.com I managed to trace my father's youngest sister's address. Unfortunately she had moved from that address but, again, thanks to 192.com I contacted a near neighbour who actually gave me my aunt's present address. I contacted her and she was amazed and delighted and I went to visit her in June 2009. The reunion with my aunt earlier this year was made possible through 192.com and we hope to spend sometime together for our first Christmas in 45 years.
Stuart reunited his Dad with his best man
I used 192.com to find my Dad's best man for his surprise 60th birthday. They had not seen each other for over 25 years. After a couple of attempts I contacted him and they were re-united at the party. Dad said that having his best man really made the party.
Valerie organised a family reunion after more than 20 years
My brothers were coming over from Australia so I decided to track down my extended family to organise a reunion. After my mother died we all split up and I had not seen relations like my uncle and auntie for more than 20 years. Using 192.com we tracked down a sister, uncle and auntie and a niece. We all got together and it was one of the best days ever.
Trevor organised a reunion for his ex service friends
Having been contacted by an old friend from my army days while doing my family tree we decided to organise a reunion for more than 20 of my old army friends. Thanks to 192.com we tracked down a big gang of people and now we are all back in touch with friends that we have not seen since the 60's.
