Telephone listings - Name, Address and Telephone

If you are not ex directory (unlisted) with your phone company your details are made available by them. To stop this from happening you need to ask them to make you ex directory.

Electoral Roll - Name and Address

Name and Address

Your local council has always made available your Electoral Roll record but since the introduction of the Edited Electoral Roll in 2003 you have been able to tell them to remove your details from the Edited version so that they are not made available for resale in the public domain.

As a director or company secretary your details are made available by Companies House. Since 2009 you are able to provide a trading or holding address rather than your residential address. Further information about this can be found at - http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/about/gbhtml/gp7.shtml

Our responsibilities

We realise that not everyone wants their information made available but if we have a record it means that information has been supplied from those sources mentioned in 'Our Data'. Working to the guidelines of the Data Protection Act 1998, we have always offered to remove any records within 21 days of receiving a removals request. To request a removal please complete this form and return it to us - Removals form

Google visits websites and takes a snapshot of a page at any given time. This snapshot then helps make up their listings pages. When we remove a record from 192.com this does not automatically remove the listing as shown on Google. When Google revisit our site and see that it has been removed that listing will then be removed by them from their pages. Further information about this can be found at http://www.google.com/privacy/faq.html#toc-remove
