1. Disclaimer

i-CD Publishing (UK) Limited ("i-CD") provides the 192.com service to you on an 'as is' basis. Whilst we use our reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the 192.com service, i-CD:

  1. does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, reliability or legality of any of the information contained in the 192.com service;
  2. expressly disclaims all or any warranties, express or implied, relating to the 192.com service, including in particular any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose;
  3. will not be liable to you under any circumstances whatsoever for any direct, indirect, consequential, punitive or special damages arising from your use of the 192.com service;
  4. reserves the right, at its discretion, from time to time to make changes to the information provided on the 192.com service, to alter the nature of the 192.com service, to withdraw the 192.com service or to change these terms & conditions of use.

You are therefore advised to check the information provided to you through the 192.com service as any reliance that you place on the accuracy of that information is at your own risk.

2. Use of 192.com

The 192.com service offers you access to both free data, which can be searched without the need to register, and premium data for which you must register and purchase one of our credit packages. You can also purchase an extended archive membership enabling you to search archived Electoral Rolls. You may conduct a maximum of 20 free searches per day.

3. Credit packages

In order for you to search premium data such as the current Electoral Roll; Births, Marriages and Deaths records; Census data; and Company and Director Reports you must choose one of our credit packages as offered from time to time. Your available credits will be reduced each time you conduct a search. Once you have used all of your credits you must purchase additional credits if you wish to continue searching premium data.

VAT is non refundable on all international orders

4. Restrictions on Use of the 192.com Service

You may not sell, rent, or lease the information provided on the 192.com service to any third parties. You may not integrate the 192.com service into another intranet/extranet other than by contracting with our 192 Business Services Division (Tel: 0207 909 2192), which offers multi-user intranet/extranet access to our services. You may not use automated scripts, software, spiders or any other automated means to perform searches on 192.com. Any attempt to extract or download significant amounts of data from 192.com or to compile a database from data obtained from 192.com is strictly forbidden.

You are only entitled to use the information provided on the 192.com service in fair, lawful and responsible ways and this information may not be used in any malicious, illegal or anti-social activity. We reserve the right to suspend any accounts where a user has supplied 192.com with a false email address or false personal data or where it comes to our attention that data obtained from the service is being used in an inappropriate way.

You may not use data obtained from 192.com service to: i) recreate the electoral roll in whole or in part; or ii) for direct marketing purposes.

You are warned that obtaining information from the 192.com service with the intention of using it for purposes other than allowed for in these terms & conditions may be an offence under Section 55 of the Data Protection Act 1998 and you should be prepared to justify your use of the 192.com service to the relevant authorities.

5. Intellectual Property

The data and information contained on the 192.com service, the software used to operate it and the trade marks, logos and other intellectual property used in connection with it are the property of i-CD or have been licensed to i-CD. No licence of any such intellectual property rights is granted to you as a result of your use of the 192.com service.

6. The Rights of i-CD

By using 192.com you agree to these terms and conditions and you agree to allow i-CD to:

  1. Send you emails relating to your registration, purchases and account, including site upgrades.
  2. If you select to receive the 192.com Newsletter we will email you the regular 192.com Newsletter
  3. If you select to receive 192.com Partner Offers we will also pass your information to very carefully selected partners of 192.com for specific and relevant promotions only (from which you can always opt-out)
  4. Keep a log file of all searches, which can be made available to data subjects and/or the law enforcement authorities.
  5. Email preferences can be changed from within the Your Account area.

Data subjects may request details of the information we hold on them, as laid out in the Data Protection Act. We will require proof of identity (such as a passport, utility bill or driver's licence). An administration charge of £10 will be applicable for such a request. Cheques should be made payable to: i-CD Publishing (UK) Ltd.

7. Money back Guarantee - CD ROM Products

In the event that you purchase CD-ROM products from 192.com you may have a full refund providing that you return the goods to 192.com within 14 days of the original delivery.

  1. Permitted Use. Viewers of this Information are granted permission to access this Crown copyright material and to download the Crown copyright material onto electronic, magnetic, optical or similar storage media provided that such activities are for private research, study or in-house use only. Any other use of the material requires the formal written permission of Land Registry which can be requested from Land Registry at Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, WC2A 3PH.
  2. Restricted Use. Viewers must not copy, distribute, sell or publish any of the Crown copyright material.

9. Aerial Photographs

You may use the aerial photographs that appear on 192.com for personal, non commercial purposes. Any use of the aerial photographs for commercial or business purposes is strictly prohibited.

10. Maps

The map images contain Ordnance Survey data which is protected by Crown copyright under the Copyright Design and Patent Act 1988. Unauthorised reproduction of map images infringes Crown Copyright and may lead to prosecution. You may use the map images that appear on 192.com for personal, non commercial purposes. Any use of the map images for commercial or business purposes is strictly prohibited. You may print a maximum of 10 copies of any map image.
