FAQ
Downloading DjVu Viewer
For Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, or XP
To begin downloading DjVu click here.
A file download screen should now appear asking if you would like to save or open the file named DJVUCNTL_601_EN.EXE – select ‘save’.
The ‘Save As’ screen will now appear asking where you would like to download the file to. Click the drop down menu next to the heading ‘save in’, and specify that you would like to download the file to your desktop.
At the bottom of the ‘save as’ screen the file name should already be set as DJVUCNTL_601_EN.EXE and the file type set as Application. Double check these are set correctly and then click the ‘Save’ button on the screen.
DjVu will now begin downloading to your system; this process can take from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection.
Once the download is complete, close all programmes and on the desktop you will see a new icon named DJVUCNTL_601_EN.EXE.
Double click this icon on your desktop and the DjVu InstallShield Wizard will begin. Follow the Install procedure through by clicking Next, Yes, Next and Next. DjVu will now install itself on your system. Once the install has successfully completed, the screen will say ‘Install Wizard complete’.
DjVu should now be successfully installed on your system.
You only need to complete the above procedure once on each computer you intend to view the site on.
The icon on your desktop can now be deleted or moved to another folder if you wish. Deleting the icon does not stop DjVu from running successfully.

The ‘Save As’ screen will now appear asking where you would like to download the file to. Click the drop down menu next to the heading ‘save in’, and specify that you would like to download the file to your desktop.
At the bottom of the ‘save as’ screen the file name should already be set as DjVuBrowserPlugin.exe and the file type set as Application. Double check these are set correctly and then click the ‘Save’ button on the screen.

If you can see a sample image showing Andler, Annie – Angwin, Reginald Douglas births June Qtr 1891, then the viewer has downloaded successfully.
