Downloading DjVu Viewer
For Mac
Firstly, please verify that your computer meets the following system requirements:
- Apple® G3 or later
- Mac® OS 9 or later
- 20 MB allocated to Web browser
- 5 MB hard disk space
- Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater or Netscape® Navigator 4.5-4.7
Download the Macintosh DjVu Browser Plug-in for either OSX or OS9 by going to the following page www.lizardtech.com/download
Select your operating system under the heading marked DjVu Browser Plug-in. Please ignore the section marked "Purchase & Download" you do not have to pay for the viewer.
Run the DjVu plug-in installer from your desktop.
The installer should place a DjVu plug-in file in your browsers /plug-ins folder. If this plug-in does not exist in the /plug-ins folder for the browser you are using then DjVu has not been installed. The DjVu plug-in file can be manually copied to the /plug-ins folder if necessary.
Please now reboot your machine.
DjVu should now be successfully installed on your system; you can check this by clicking the following sample image.
If you can see a sample image showing Andler, Annie – Angwin, Reginald Douglas births June Qtr 1891, then the viewer has downloaded successfully.
You only need to complete the above procedure once on each computer you intend to view the site on.
